Accessing RVYC Jericho & CH on May 3 (BMO Vancouver Marathon)
How to navigate the Road Closures.

The annual BMO Vancouver Marathon (www.bmovanmarathon.ca/) is on Sunday, May 3.


The marathon starts near Queen Elizabeth Park and finishes downtown (near Pender & Burrard). It is expected that approximately 5,000 runners will participate in the marathon (and up to 10,000 for the half!).


JERICHO – affected approx. from 0830-1300 hrs:

Runners will follow Marine Drive to West 4th Ave (using one westbound lane), turning left onto Highbury (using both lanes) heading north. From Highbury, they are turning right onto Point Grey Road and then the Westbound lanes on Cornwall to Arbutus. The course goes through Kits Point and will return to Cornwall Avenue at Cypress Street (using one Westbound lane) and bearing left over the Burrard Bridge (using two Southbound lanes).





COAL HARBOUR – affected approx. from 0630-1100 hrs:

• Stanley Park: All roads (except the Causeway) in the park are closed from 0630-1100 hrs.
• Pacific Street: lane closures 0915-1245 hrs from Burrard to Jervis
• Beach Avenue: Closed from Stanley Park to Denman Street 0715-0945 hrs.
• Denman Street: Closed from West Georgia to Seawall 0645-1415 hrs. approximately 1030 hrs, and Beach Avenue (Eastbound curb lanes) from Jervis to Stanley Park.
