Keelboat Weekend — June 20 to 22, 2008
The Keelboat Weekend offers around the buoys racing on English Bay over three days, June 20 through 22. Click here for a Notice of Race.
ORC and PHRF boats will race June 21 - 22 only. The weekend's results also count towards the season's championship for the Vancouver Area Racing Council (VARC).
J/24 class boats will sail their Canadian Championship over three days from June 20 to 22.
Cal 20, Dragon, Martin 16, Martin 242, and Star classes will race two days, June 21 and 22 only. Waves is the British Columbia Championship for the Martin 242 class.
For ORC boats:
If you do not have a valid ORC certificate, bring your PHRF certificate and a provisional ORC rating will be provided. For these boats, Friday evening registration is greatly appreciated.
Additional classes are welcome. Please contact RVYC Sailing Director James McDonald if you wish to bring your fleet. Classes with fewer than six boats registered may be started with other classes.
Entry Fee and Registration
The entry fee is $80 per boat, except the fee for the J/24 class is $155. This includes racing, access to the hospitality area for skipper and crew, eligibility for prize draws, and moorage and boat storage for visiting boats. Check in at the Regatta Office prior to racing is also required. Click here for a registration form.
Visiting ORC and PHRF boats may moor at RVYC Jericho Station from Friday, June 21 through Monday, June 24. For longer stays, arrangements can be made to moor at RVYC Coal Harbour Station.
