Women's Keelboat Program

The Women's Keelboat Program is crafted to assist women with little to no prior experience to penetrate the typically male-dominated realm of sailing. The syllabus runs parallel to the Introduction to Keelboat Sailing; however, it sets itself apart by providing an environment that is both female-focused and driven. This initiative empowers women to take the helm, positioning them as the captains and crew of their own sailing journey. With an emphasis on establishing foundational sailing competencies, the program strives to equip participants with the skills required for future pursuits. These may range from leisurely post-work escapades to more competitive sailing events, such as the RVYC's Wednesday Night Racing Series or the annual September Women's Invitational Regatta. This program exemplifies the Royal Vancouver Yacht Club's (RVYC) commitment to nurturing a robust community of female sailors. We consistantly endeavor to support our leading adult, female athletes in competing at premeir events, such as the Helga's Cup. We encourage you to sign up today and set sail on a journey of skill development and discovery, all designed to propel your success on the open water.
