The Royal Vancouver Yacht Club is one of the world's premier yacht clubs and one of the finest in Vancouver. Our mission is to promote yachting, seamanship and fellowship among current members and those who share our values of tradition, sportsmanship, and community service, among many others.

RVYC offers seven Offshore Stations in the Strait of Georgia and Indian Arm and two home ports right in Vancouver. Our Clubhouse on Jericho Beach has an unbeatable view of English Bay and the North Shore Mountains from two restaurants and serves as the perfect venue for family and corporate celebrations as well as a place to hold meetings or work in private.

Our current Entrance Fees are available here. As of January 1, 2024, our Entrance Fees will increase. If you would like to join RVYC and take advantage of the 2023 Entrance Fees, please complete the application form below and submit by December 31, 2023 to [email protected].

MEMBERSHIP APPLICATIONS

Request for Adult Membership Form

This form contains the Entrance Fees for membership and needs to be complete to start the process.

  • To become a member of RVYC, you will need a Proposer and Seconder who are current "members in good standing" of RVYC.
  • You also need three References who have a working or personal relationship with you. Your references are not required to be RVYC members.
  • Once we have received your completed forms, the application process will begin with a New Member Interview and go forward from there. The timeline for the application process is about six weeks from receipt of application.
  • The Proposer or Seconder must attend an interview with the prospective member, which will take place via Zoom.

Prospective members who have a spouse and would like their spouse to have privileges at the Club should include their spouse as a Joint member. In that case, the spouse is asked to attend the interview as well.

Prospective members who do not yet know any members of the Club are invited to contact Membership at [email protected] to discuss introductions.

Application for Junior Membership
The process for Junior members is shorter than it is for adults, with the Junior becoming a member on the first day of the month following their interview. Please use this form if the prospective member is between 7 and 19 years old (application must be received prior to the child's 19th birthday. Information and registration for the Junior Training Program can be found here.


OFFSHORE STATIONS

This guide covers basic information regarding all seven outstations. We invite prospective new members to contact [email protected] if they have any questions that are not covered in the guides.

• Rental cabins at Scott Point Offshore Station on Saltspring Island
• Rental rooms at Wigwam Inn at the end of Indian Arm
• Capri 22 sailboat rentals at Jericho
• Elliott 6m sailboat rentals at Jericho

We also offer Adult Learn-to Sail programs, which are accessible here.

There is an active social group called Active Intermediates, comprising sailors and power boaters between the ages of 19 and 35.

In addition to the above, the club offers SUPs, kayaks and bicycles from Jericho Clubhouse and bicycles only from Coal Harbour station.

The Club offers three restaurants, two of which allow that minors and one that is 19 years + only.

Coal Harbour’s Mermaid Inn is a delightful floating diner serving breakfasts and lunches that range from the classic standards to modern vegetarian and vegan specials. There is a deck and children’s play area on the deck.

The Jericho Clubhouse has three floors. The garden level is home to the Star and Dragon, an all-ages restaurant that specializes in espresso-beverages, smoothies, Neapolitan pizzas and a great weekend breakfast (Saturday and Sundays only). The Star and Dragon hosts a weekly kids’ buffet on Friday nights. Children who are 12 years old and older who are members may be in the restaurant on their own while parents dine upstairs in the Marine Lounge.

The Marine Lounge is on the upper level of the Clubhouse and is divided into two sections and a deck. Off the Model Room on the east side members can find the billiards room as well.

The main level of the clubhouse is banquet facilities and large club events. This space is also used by members for private functions such as weddings and seminars.

Come on down to the Clubhouse to experience what thousands of Vancouverites have loved for over a century.
