NO BOAT? ...NO PROBLEM!

  • Wednesday Evening Series Charter
    • Wednesday Evening & One Design Series Charter (for RVYC members only)

RVYC is thrilled to have our own fleet of 14 Elliot 6m boats. These vessels were originally constructed for the 2012 London Olympic Games, specifically for match racing. For Wednesday night races and the one-design series, each boat will be outfitted with brand-new North 3Di Ocean sails, custom-designed for RVYC's fleet by club and Canadian Olympic sailing legend, Ross McDonald. The spinnakers will feature distinct colored stripes, allowing spectators to easily identify their favorite team during races. Additionally, much of the fleet's rigging, control lines, hiking straps, and spinnaker bags have been replaced for the 2024 racing season to enhance sailor performance. Royal Van is eager to welcome our members back to English Bay for another exceptional season of one-design yacht racing. Please reserve your charter by using the link to ClubSpot below.

The sessions are grouped into three or four consecutive Monday or Wednesday evenings, but will not run on holidays (Victoria Day, Canada Day, and BC Day for example). Weeknight Lessons will be from 1800-2000 hrs.

(All lessons will be primarily built around on the fundamental skills needed to sail small boats and the CANSail curriculum. It will not follow the Sail Canada 'Learn to Cruise' standards.)
